- Woodford County Illinois whitetail deer hunting & lodging packages with Acorn Ridge Hunts. Whitetail deer hunts, archery & gun hunting in Illinois. We are located near the Mackinaw River in Woodford County, Illinois, Acorn Ridge is the home to corn fed and mineral springs nourished bucks. Alfalfa fields are a grazing ground for numerous whitetails each twilight. Add to that a strongly enforced buck management program for the last twenty years, and our bucks are fine trophies.
