We have a couple of ranches in Texas with over 4,000 acres of great hunting. These are high fence ranches that are managed very well for big whitetail deer. One is 25 miles south of San Antonio in Lytle and the other is 75 miles south of San Antonio in Fowlerton. This trip will be for 3 days/4 hunts. Primarily rifle hunting out of shooting houses looking over roads and feeders or walking and rattling during the rut. You will see 20+ deer on an average hunt. We have a 1 buck to 1.5 doe ratio on the property so when the rut is going they are running like crazy. 1st - 2nd weekend in December is the peak of rut but they hunting is good for all of the season. You will have a guide on each hunt. This trip is intended for a mangement buck hunt but depending on what you have to offer we could discuss a trophy hunt. We have a lot of management bucks on the property that score in the 130's-150's. We also have blackbucks, hogs, javelinas, and rio turkeys on the ranches. In between deer hunts, we can ride around in the High-Rack truck that seats 6-8 people and hunt javelina mid-day if you want.
We have a nice lodge for you to stay in. You will have your own bathroom and bedroom with water and power. We have golf carts, 4wheelers, side-by-sides, and a High-Rack truck for transportation on the ranch. Just plan on picking up your own food to cook when you get into town. We can cook at the lodge. We can discuss all the finer details on the phone.
LOOKING FOR: Open to anything in any category but very interested in hunting big game out west (Elk, Mule deer, and antelope) or a big whitetail in the Midwest. My Granddad is getting a little older and wants to go on a mule deer hunt soon so that would probably be top of the list.
