I own 325 acres in Illinois that has great whitetail hunting. Last year, we killed 3 bucks and they scored 1 86", 165" and 158". You can hunt with bow, shotgun or a muzzleloader. Bow is the best because you can hunt Oct-Jan and during peak rut in Nov. You can also buy your tag over the counter. To gun hunt, you have to get in a lotto a year before and the seasons are typically after rut. Shotgun season is the Friday-Sunday before Thanksgiving and then Thursday-Sunday two weeks after Thanksgiving which is usually after the rut. Then the muzzle loader season is after that. The property has about 100 acres of fields and the rest woods. We have all the ladderstands ready to go.
Accommodations
I have a camper that you can stay in on the property but it is off the grid. No water or power just more for roughing it. But if you want amenities then there is a hotel about 20 minutes away from the farm.
