Trip Description
- We leave the Seward dock in my 22'HewesCraft at 06:00 and spend the day trolling for king and silver (coho) salmon returning at around 16:00. Some bottom fishing may take place depending on weather and water conditions. We fish with downriggers, level wind reels, and bait and lures. I provide all gear and equipment. Water conditions are typically calm inside Resurrection Bay, however it can be cool and rainy. Visitors should bring GOOD rain gear and waterproof boots. Whales and other marine mammals are often seen as well as marine birds. Flying into Anchorage is recommended. Other attractions in Seward include hiking on nearby glaciers, dog sled rides, whale watching trips and visits to the acclaimed marine center and aquarium.
Accommodations
- Rental car will be needed to travel from Anchorage to Seward. Lodging is available in Seward hotels and b&bs. Restaurants are available for evening meals. Snacks and lunches can be provided.
