Both private and public land hunting opportunities in Nevada although 95% is public. Most of the land is high desert sage mountainous areas. Nevada is a draw state and you have to apply in Jan for your tag. Small populated state for turkeys but if you draw the odds are pretty good for filling your tag. Non-Residents have 1-2 NR tags per unit every spring. So odds are better for NR of drawing bc not many ppl apply. Most landowners are open to letting you hunt. I live in NE Nevada which only has a few tags every year. (15 this year. But all 15 were filled.) Paradise valley is an exception to the draw system. It is all private with a good population of birds. NV game and fish will sell you a tag if you get landowner permission. But landowners charge a fee. 1 tag comes with 1 bearded bird. (Hen or tom)
Theres one area which is the only place in US where residents or NR can hunt Himalayan Snowcock which is a prize bird.
