In Utah, we have access to a bunch of great public land. I also have access to some private but we mainly hunt the public. Sometimes it might take walking a ways through some steep terrrain to get to a good spot but there are plenty of places to get on unpressured birds that nobody knows about. For example, we have a 12,000ft mountain right by us. I am not a guide but can go with you on the hunt or point you in the direction of birds. We can't guarantee a kill but have been really successful putting friends on birds over the years. The weather was brutal this year with the snow storms which makes for hard hunting but the hunting can be great in good weather. We can get on birds 4-5min from my house or we have spots hours away in some very pretty country close to national parks. So, we can hunt in the mountains or the desserts. Can tailor the hunt to elevation that is more suitable to where you are from. Tags are over the counter. Season is month of May but there is a 3 day youth-only season as well. Most of our birds are a Rio/Merriam hybrid. There are some spots in SE Utah where you can get on full-blooded Merriam's though. On the hunts you can see elk and other wildlife that is native to Utah.
Accommodations
We have lodging if we hunt close to the house. I also have a 5th wheel camper that has 4 different beds we can use if we travel or we sometimes just grab a hotel when traveling to some of the further spots.
