As the fall moves in, the bugle of rutting elk can be heard echoing throughout Idaho's Salmon River Mountains. Our Archery elk hunts run from Aug. 30- Sept. 30 and our rifle elk hunts, September 15 to November 18. Our 7 day trip includes 5 full days of hunting. Elk will be our primary target, and you'll find some outstanding Bulls here in the back country. Our average bull elk rack is a 5 x 5, but it isn't uncommon to take 6x6's over 300"s. We use a variety of elk hunting methods, spot and stalk, still hunting, stand hunting, calling, and tracking, all according to your needs and abilities. The elk hunting terrain in west central Idaho's area of Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness and Payette National Forest is a mixture of sagebrush, parks, dark timber, slide areas, and burned timber. It's one of Idaho's most beautiful areas. It is rugged country that's fun to hunt, if you are up for it.
