Trip Description
- We have a 400 acre farm with some of the best woodcock hunting you'll find on flat land. Prescribed burning keeps early successional habitat going strong. In 4 years of doing this hunt, our worst day still had over 20 points in a morning, with 30-50 points being the most common. We've never had to hunt more than 4 hours for a 3 man limit, so the afternoon should be open for skeet or target shooting. Nice SxS shotguns available for rent. You can arrange for a chukar/pheasant release in advance, but we do not release quail. We have wild quail which are off limits. Lodging in farmhouse with full amenities including a clubhouse on the water.
