Hey guys! We live on 350 swampy acres right on the Tallapoosa River in Wetumpka, AL (we also have permission access to 500+ acres of adjoining property). We of course have lots of feral hogs, so they are always on the "hit list." We generally run our trap a couple of times over the summer months to alleviate some of the pressure on other wildlife. But if I get enough groups of hunters to come handle a few, then we may not have to. So it's a win-win.
You will be responsible for gutting and harvesting meat if you are wanting to take it home, but you don't have to. Shoot as many hogs as your heart desires.
I keep feeders full pretty much all year long and will do some extra baiting just before hunters arrive. We have multiple ladder stands, shooting houses and ground blinds for you to use. I run cell cams all year as well, so I can help guide you to where hogs are showing up. I also have green lights on some of the feeders if you'd like to sit after dark.
I'll give access to our side x side to get around on the property.
Hunters are welcome to use weapon of choice: bow, crossbow, rifle, shotgun, AR, etc. We have a spot to do some target practice and keep equipment dialed in.
The tag is a small game tag plus a baiting privilege fee.
Accommodations
We have a room available in our home for 1-2 hunters with a private bathroom. We will happily provide 1 cooked meal per day. Can be lunch or dinner depending on hunting schedule. During the summer, it stays light late, which sometimes interferes with dinner plans. But we will figure it out.
Trade Interests
LOOKING FOR: I'm interested in hunting whitetails, muleys, elk and turkey. BUT I'm open to offers and suggestions as well!
