Trip Description
- Based in Chattanooga, Tennessee on the productive Tennessee River, we offer year-round trips for trophy catfish. I am a former TWRA game warden, an outdoor journalist and book author with 50 years experience as a "Tennessee River Rat." The average catfish clients catch weigh between five and ten pounds, however, clients have landed many trophy-class catfish up to 70-pounds-plus. I provide all fishing tackle and bait. Guest must possess/buy a Tennessee fishing license. I don't clean your catch. You're responsible for caring for whatever fish you keep.
Accommodations
- Lodging/meals are not included. We recommend visitors review hotels near Interstate 75, Exit #5. There is a very wide selection of hotels with lots of restaurants nearby and it is within 15 or 20 minutes of most places we fish. Places to stay on the water are very limited. Island Cove Marina has a motel and a few cabins. Blue Water Resort is excellent, but is about 40 or 50 minutes from the areas we routinely fish. I can also provide some other suggested rentals.
