We have the finest quail hunting experience in the world on five thousands acres of wiregrass areas and long leaf pine, which creates the perfect atmosphere to experience quail hunting at its finest. Each of our quail hunting tracts is extensively managed with prescribed burning and food plots to ensure a quality hunting experience for our guests from one year to the next. We are professionally managed for bobwhite quail, and every off-season the woods are analyzed to maximize ground cover for even annual growth. SouthWind offers a variety of ways to hunt the elusive bobwhite quail, which include hunting by jeep or on one of our specially designed mule- drawn wagons. Our jeeps are uniquely designed for quail hunting. The jeep hunt offers several different amenities, which provide hunters everything required for a day of hunting. These include: dry storage for shells, rain gear, clothing, and enough room to accommodate six guests. Our jeeps pull a specially designed kennel, which holds up to eight pointing dogs, along with a special kennel for our famous flushing dogs. For guests who are looking to experience hunting in the South as it was done one hundred years ago, our mule-drawn wagon hunt may be the perfect fit for you. The hunt provides a great opportunity for families to share quality-bonding time, while also enjoying the natural beauty of the outdoors. Relax and enjoy a day filled with horseback riding through longleaf pine and wiregrass acreage as hunters did over a century ago.
