Trip Description
- Hunt one of the top 7 duck hunting destinations in the US, Green Bay/Lake Michigan. Our tender boat is a 20', center console, custom duck boat with twin Pro-Drive outboards. When on Green Bay we will be hunting 1/4 - 1-1/2 miles offshore in 10-20 feet of water. Target species will include bluebill, redhead, ringnecks, canvasback, bufflehead and common goldeneyes with an occasional scotter. When hunting on Lake Michigan we will be 2 - 3-1/2 miles offshore in 60' to 130' of water. Target species is the beautiful long tail/old squaw with the occasional scotter. You will be laying out in a Waterfowl works layout boat with full flotation meeting all Coast Guard regulations. Constant communication will be though VHF marine radios in all vessels. Common decoy spreads will range between 50 - 150 decoys. Hunting these waters is very dependent on weather conditions. Most of the time we can get out somewhere on GB but Lake Michigan will be monitored closely and I will not put anyone at risk.
Accommodations
- I will be happy to put you up at my own home. We have a lower level with a single bedroom containing a double bed. Adjacent to the bedroom we have a movie room with a 113" screen available for your evening entertainment. We have one additional small room that we can put up an inflatable queen bed in. On the same level you will have a full bathroom with shower and laundry. If you are more comfortable you can book one of the many hotels we have in the area. Breakfast will be from the local gas station as we fuel the boat and head to the launch. Lunch will be provided at the local bar/restaurant located near the boat launch. Dinner is flexible either at my home or dinning out. If you choose to fly in I can pick you up/drop off at the airport located in Appleton, WI.

- LOOKING FOR: Turkey hunting anywhere. I'm particularly interested in Rio Grande or Merriam's turkey for my 13 year old son to work on his grand slam. Duck hunting anywhere.
