Trip Description
- You'll need to arrive at the Dauphin Island Marina around 1500 on Thursday and we'll return on Saturday afternoon. The first afternoon and evening we will catch our live bait and ease out enjoying dinner and cocktails (if so inclined) and getting a good nights rest. The first morning you will wake up to fishing in the Topaz blue waters anywhere from 60 to 120 miles from the coast. We will spend the entire day and the next morning chasing the best bite around. It is not uncommon to catch Blue Marlin, White Marlin, Swordfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Blackfin Tuna, Wahoo, Mahi-Mahi (Dolphin) when the conditions are right. If the weather or the fish don't cooperate, we will bottom in 100 to 750 feet of water with manual and electric reels catching giant deepwater groupers, barrelfish, snappers, sea bass, triggerfish, and sometimes stuff we've never seen before! Typical Fishing techniques used are trolling, kite fishing, chunking, live baiting, topwater poppers, deepwater butterfly jigging, bottom fishing with manual and electric reels. We throw the kitchen sink at em to make sure we get em!
Accommodations
- The 65'x20' custom Bonner walkaround sportfish is a very comfortable boat to fish from with ample sleeping quarters, walk around sides, and a comfortable bridge to enjoy the action if you aren't behind the rod. Very nice boat with cool air conditioned salons, XM Satellite radio, DVD player, satellite TV, microwave, hot shower, Big Green Egg Grill, coffee pot - All the comforts of home. Professional Captain and 3 deckhands will be at your service. Charter, deckhand gratuity, fish cleaning, and 3 hot meals per day cooked on "The Green Egg" all provided. We typically catch around 1,000 pounds of fish, and have a great time doing it. You don't go hungry on this trip. Typical menu includes items like fresh fish tacos, slow smoked BBQ with all the fixings, New York Strip Steaks reverse seared to perfection. There is nothing more to bring than clothes, bedding, your drinks, and a cooler to take your fish home. You can really RELAX. Mobile Airport is 30 minutes away and pensacola or Gulfport is 1 hour away.
