Trip Description
- I am offering a 5-day archery or rifle over the counter elk hunt in southern Colorado. We will be hunting public land. I am not a guide so you will just be joining me on a hunt. I've shot 4 bulls with my bow over the last 4 years. Called in 2 for others so we have good success rates for a public land DIY hunt. You must be in good physical shape because it is hard hunting. Archery season is in September. Rifle is 3rd week of October and 2nd week of November. There is an airstrip in Alamosa, CO or you could fly into Denver, CO and Albuquerque, NM. I can pick you up and drop you off at the airport as long as you can do the same for me when I go on your trip.
Accommodations
- We will be camping in tents each night. I have all the gear you need for camping. You just need to bring your weapon and clothes.
