I have a lakefront family cabin in Island Park, Idaho. It is a fairly modern open floor plan 2 story layout with 4 full beds, a sofa sleeper and another sleeper in the loft. 2 full bathrooms and a fully stocked kitchen lead to nice meals on the deck looking out on the lake. Canoes and paddle boards are available for use off of the private dock.
The west entrance of Yellowstone park is 35 minutes away. Summer are dominated by rzr riding on a huge trail system, hiking, water sports, floating the river and fishing the world famous Henry’s fork of the snake river. Fishing off the dock for rainbow trout is usually good but fly fishing any number of local spots is better.
Winter boasts hundreds of miles of trails groomed for snowmobiling and Harriman state park for Xc skiing. West Yellowstone is also a great Nordic ski area.
Options may include whitewater rafting, scenic floating, backpacking and more.
Similar rental cabins run about $300-400 per night in winter and up to $800 per night in the summer.
